Letters of Interest

"Small opportunities are often the beginning of of great enterprises." - Demosthenes

Now that you have prioritized your list of acceptable aircraft, prepare and mail the following "Letter of Interest" to each prospective seller. Click here for a template.

Quite frankly, don't expect a lot of replies. The purpose of the letter of interest is to:

  1. Begin developing a relationship with a potential seller.
  2. Weed out those that want top dollar.
  3. Discover if there is a "motivated seller" out there.

The more letters of interest that are sent out over time, the better your chances are of uncovering a motivated seller, which will eventually reap big rewards. This is an important step that shouldn't be skipped! This is where the help of someone experienced in this process may come in handy.

Soon or later the right seller and the right plane will become apparent to you. Then you will be ready for negotiations.
